  1.  Boxers are selected for the coaching camp & selection trials to be held at L. B. Shastri Stadium,        Akola from 15th November, 2008. The selected team will participate in the 24th Junior National to        be held at Gangtok, Sikkim from 5th to 11th December, 2008. more
   2.  For the first time, the coaching of Maharashtra Boxing Association is organizing a workshop 3 days         Residential camp on Boxing Coaching.
   3. Four Maharashtra Products in finals in 55th Senior National Men Boxing Championships at Bhatinda.  
       Manoj Pagare of Maharashtra Boxing Association entered the finals of Feather weight bxing with former Maharashtra.

  4. CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ GAMES 2008 trial games for 3rd commonwealth youth games state         level Boxing tournament, to test & trial out newly developed infrastructure, its various facilities and also       to work on interaction between various agencies involved in conducting the CYG2008PUNE, will be held at       Balewadi, Pune during August 28 - 2nd September 2008. details
  5.  This is to inform you that Annual General Meeting of the Association scheduled to be held at        Bhusawal on 17th August 2008, is postponed for some unavoidable circumstances

The rich cultural heritage of India and the great Maratha spirit came alive today, as the spectacular   sporting bonanza of the Commonwealth Youth Games 2008 began in Pune. Her Excellency, Smt.   Pratibha Devisingh Patil , President of India, declared the Games open in the presence of   eminent dignitaries, famed athletes and gallaries full of sports lovers.
   Boxing enthusiast Chotu Mulik, more popularly known amongst boxers as 'Chotu Sir', passed away        
   in Goa on 17th Oct. 2008.

    1st Inter-Divisional State Boxing Championship at Sangli !

    Inter-Divisional The 1st Inter-Divisional State Boxing Championships was held in Sangli during 21-23 March     2008. The meet was inaugurated by City Mayor and 107 boxers from all divisions comprising of various     districts boxing champions participated in full strength. MABA also invited Army Sports Institute, Pune and     many boxers of international repute participated from Army. ASI was The obvious Champions of Championship     with runners of Mumbai Division. Mr. Vinit Kotian was adjudged as a Best Boxer of the Championship. Sangli has     shown their keen interest in holding Camp for State for preparing our boxers for National     Championship.                                                                                                                                                        Top
